Our Mission: Give people a way to Have Fun And Help Animals!

Our Mission is to improve the lives of animals everywhere. We believe that games can be a link between players and non-profits. While you play and have fun, we find ways to help non-profits that work so hard to help animals. 

We focus on three pillars that will change the world with your help:

1. Sponsoring Rescues + Adoptions – We use profits to help real shelters rescue animals, pay for medical costs, food, transportation, etc. Today, we work with specific shelters, but we’d love to get people directly connected to their local shelters in the future!

2. Raising Animal-Care Awareness – We spread practical advice to pet owners and shelters, so everyone takes better care of animals. Our dream is to make top-tier knowledge about taking care of animals and managing shelters commonplace, so people and shelters can share their best practices all over the world!

3. Increase Community Activity – We inspire people to volunteer and attend events with their local shelters – critical for animal well-being across the world.  Volunteering and fostering are critical for achieving a world-wide goal of having all shelters be No-Kill. We want to help people and shelters get inspired to volunteer and learn to be amazing fosters.

Additionally, We want our games to be a relaxing, wholesome experience with positive messages. We believe if everyone lived like a dog, the world would be a better place. Enjoy the little things. Love everyone unconditionally. Humans get caught up in the stresses of the mind, and I hope our games serve as a reminder to Live like a Dog.

How does playing help real animals?

When you make a purchase or watch ads in our mobile games, we donate 20% to specific non-profits that help animals. We make sure that our donations go to help the animals specifically. In Rescue Pets, you can see what animals we’ve sponsored!

Our money tends to go to buying animals in high-kill shelters about to be euthanized, transporting them to no-kill shelters, training them, unexpected medical costs, and more.

In 2020, our players raised enough money to help 12 dogs find forever homes! Update as of 2023: We’ve donated over $15,000, rescued over 35 dogs, and sponsored puppy parties to raise awareness thanks to our players and merch! Thanks everyone!!

How do you donate to shelters?

We pick a shelter every quarter (sometimes special events are weekly or monthly). Our game revenue at the end of the event is donated through an official channel.

Our default shelter is Dog Gone Seattle, since they're an amazing organization that rescues dogs from across the country and puts them in foster homes in Seattle where they can get adopted easier. Plus, they're experts at handling dogs with special needs. We've also worked with Oregon Humane Society, Austin Pets Alive!, Forgotten Dogs Rescue and more.

 

How much do you donate?

Mobile games: 20% of our revenue (after the app stores take their fees). This includes in-app purchases and ads.

Steam Games: 10% of our revenue (after Steam takes 30%).

Merch: 20% of our revenue on items we buy in bulk (enamel pins, stickers, etc.) or anything people purchase at an in-person event. On our website, apparel and print on demand items (shirts, pillows, mugs, etc.) have a much smaller profit margin, so we have to do 20% of our profit. 

Crowdsourcing like Kickstarter does not allow donations, so any revenue gained this way is excluded.
